Laura Giulini has more than 30 years of experience in the luxury segment across three continents as a Sales Director, VP, and SVP of Sales. A naturally curious person, she is keen on creating bridges across industries and connecting people from different backgrounds.

She started her career in Hong Kong, working with companies such as Benetton and Replay, and then relocated to New York in 1996. Here, she entered the luxury segment with a key role in Versace, where she worked from 1997 until 2004, during a major and pivotal moment.

She then wanted to test her knowledge with an American brand, so she moved to St. John Knits, which allowed her to get acquainted with a new market segment. While at St. John, she successfully launched it internationally.

In 2008, she returned to Italian luxury brands when she was appointed SVP of Sales for Giorgio Armani, where she was responsible for the wholesale division for all brands of the group (Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani, Armani Collezioni, Armani Jeans, Armani Junior, Emporio Armani Underwear, EA7), representing $150 million annually.

Her passion lies with design and craftsmanship, so it was not a surprise when in 2014, at the arrival of John Galliano at the helm of Maison Margiela, she joined the OTB group, first in charge for all designers brands (DSquared2, Just Cavalli, VIktor&Rolf, Marni, Marc Jacobs in addition of MM6 and Maison Margiela), and then focusing on the expansion of the Margiela lines from 2017 until 2022.

The lessons learnt at Giorgio Armani proved to be helpful in crafting for each brand a defined strategy and business plan.

In 2022, she decided to open her consultancy business and recently relocated to Europe.

In her practice, she canvasses and opens markets, defines brand positioning and strategy to expand and launch in new markets either in North America or worldwide, and also helps make brands and companies profitable. Notable clients include London-based cashmere brand Oyuna, which she turned profitable, upon successfully revitalizing the Home division, and Ferrari, for which she identified and executed strategy to raise brand awareness in the Luxury RTW areas with targeted pop-up stores.

Recreationally, LG enjoys good conversation, great books, art and interior design, which inform the way she approaches her professional endeavors while also enriching her inner life. She is now based between Milan and New York.

Laura Giulini holds dual citizenship of Italy and the United States. She has bilingual proficiency in Italian, English, French and Spanish. She is the mother of a great son, Giorgio, and has a Corgi, named Pina.
